A special meeting on “Tuluva Mahasabha - A 98-Year Journey” will be organised on September 23, 2026, to commemorate the historic journey of Tuluva Mahasabha, an organisation that has played a significant role in the history of Tulu language, literature, art, culture and community organization.
Tuluva Mahasabha, which was established on September 23, 1928, has completed 98 years of its organizational journey. The special meeting will discuss the organisation’s founding objectives, major activities undertaken over the years, achievements and the programmes and initiatives to be taken up in the coming years.
Tuluva Mahasabha International has appealed to all its regional committees, international units, district and state committees to organise special meetings or programmes in their respective areas on September 23 on the theme “Tuluva Mahasabha – A 98-Year Journey.”
The committees have been requested to document major programmes conducted in their respective regions, the growth of the organisation, its achievements, and the contributions of senior members. They have also been asked to discuss and document the future course of Tuluva Mahasabha. A brief report of each programme, along with photographs and key resolutions, has been requested to be submitted to the central committee. The information will be compiled to prepare and publish a comprehensive report on the 98-year organisational journey of Tuluva Mahasabha, stated a media release. As the organisation moves towards its centenary, the programme aims to document its history, remember the contributions of senior members and introduce its organisational legacy to future generations. Tuluva Mahasabha International has urged all committees to actively participate, organise the programmes successfully in their respective areas and submit reports and programme details to the central committee.
